I’m Mary Ann, a UX designer, content expert and noodle lover based in Washington D.C.
I’ve been designing since 2003, when I was eleven years old and asked my parents to buy me Photoshop for Christmas.
What started as a way to make my LiveJournal look good turned into my passion. Though UX/UI design is my bread and butter, I'm a digital jack-of-all-trades, having worked on content strategy, social media, email management and video production.
I make products for organizations working for social good. I’ve worked in the nonprofit sector for 4 years and prior to that was in journalism for 2 years. I’m interested in using design and storytelling to help serve marginalized people.
I often work on products from end-to-end. I can come up with concepts and strategy, do user research and competitive analysis, write content, create wireframes and prototypes, design full digital mockups and front-end code.
